Undine belongs to the imaginary order, and, she does not intend to surrender herself to the patriarchal authority of the symbolic order. She does not fit in the narrow, limited and predetermined space of the aquarium. 

In contrast, she loves the water, the just water, the indifferent mirror that forbids her from seeing anything other than herself differently: 

as the Other. Therefore, Undine leaves and only her absence remains in the frames after her departure. An absence that always pokes a hole in the entirety of the symbolic order that others have succumbed.
